Adult Group Piano Class Ages 18+
Discover the joy of learning piano in a relaxed, supportive group environment designed specifically for adult beginners. Over five weeks, you’ll explore the foundations of piano through guided instruction and hands-on practice. Students work at their own pace with personalized guidance from the instructor. You’ll learn essential skills such as proper hand position, simple tunes, basic chords, and the fundamentals of reading notes and rhythms. Classes move at a comfortable pace that encourages questions and celebrates progress. Learning alongside fellow beginners creates a fun, low-pressure atmosphere. No prior musical experience is required - just curiosity and a willingness to try something new. It’s never too late to start your musical journey.
Discoveries in Music Grades 1-5 Grades 1-5 (must have completed first grade)
Students will enjoy their morning learning music and piano fundamentals through creative, interactive activities designed to spark curiosity. They’ll create music at the piano and play Orff instruments such as xylophones, glockenspiels, and rhythm instruments while learning basic theory concepts and exploring the works of great composers. Movement and eurhythmics add variety and keep the class active and engaging. Each week features fresh music and activities.
No previous music experience is required to attend this class.
Private Flute Lessons (9 years–adult)
Students may choose between 30, 45 or 60 minute private lessons, with 30-minute lessons recommended for beginners. Three-payment plan available through second week of the term. Email us at academyofthearts@samford.edu for registration assistance.
