Isabelle Knowles is an emerging mezzo-soprano currently pursuing her Master of Music in Vocal Performance at Samford University where she studies with Dr. Sharon Lawhon. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science, with a minor in Music, from the University of Arizona. Isabelle is a vocal instructor at Samford University Academy of the Arts and performs with various choirs and ensembles around Birmingham.

She recently, she appeared as Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus at Samford University, as Cherubino Pig in The Three Little Pigs, and in the ensemble and as Lola (cover) in Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci with Opera Birmingham where she is a Freeman Studio Artist. She is looking forward to the upcoming season and performing as Mom and Grandma in Little Red’s Most Unusual Day. Her previous roles include Second Witch in Dido and Aeneas, Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof, and Victoria (cover) in Hinterkaifeck. She has also performed in Le nozze di Figaro, Suor Angelica, and Orphée at the Lyrique-en-Mer Festival in France, and made her professional debut with Arizona Opera in Aida. Isabelle has also appeared as a soloist in collaboration with the Bolton Guitar Studio and Arizona Symphonic Choir.
