David Talley, IV is a classically trained pianist, jazz artist, and music educator. He began taking piano at the age of 6 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Music degree from Birmingham-Southern College in 2009. From 2011 until the college’s closing in 2024, he taught piano at the Birmingham-Southern College Conservatory of Music. David is the organist and pianist at the historic Sixth Avenue Baptist Church, where he has served since 2013. As a jazz pianist performing under the name D. Talley, he has released an original single titled Fine And Mellow and is currently working on his next single and full jazz album.
