Undergraduate Institution and Graduation Year
Columbus State University, 2017
Criminal Law, Family Law, Probate
I love to be involved and serve at my Church, travel, spend quality time with my friends and family, and I love shopping.
What do you think is the best thing about Cumberland School of Law?
The best thing about Cumberland is that as soon as you walk into the doors and talk to people, you feel like you are a part of a family! The faculty, staff, and fellow students always want to help! And the servant leadership atmosphere is phenomenal.
Why did you choose Cumberland School of Law?
When I walked into Cumberland for the very first time, I felt like it was my home away from home. I felt like they would fight for me with my career goals and my law school education. I trust Cumberland with my law school education and instruction on how to become the best advocate I can be.
What do you most enjoy about studying law in Birmingham? What do you like to do in Birmingham?
The opportunities in Birmingham are endless. There are opportunities to network with attorneys or other people in your age group, and there are opportunities to explore the city, the history of Birmingham, and the many walking/hiking trails. Oh, and don’t forget the food of the Magic City!
Student Organizations/Extracurricular Activities
There are so many opportunities to become involved at Cumberland. Throughout my journey at Cumberland, I have been a part of the Christian Legal Society, the Georgia Student Bar Association, Cumberland Public Interest & Community Service (CPICS) and Women in Law. I have also been a Themis representative.
If you could give any advice to your pre-law school self, what would you say?
You can do it! Remember why you started. Write it down…write down all the reasons you started or why you want to do this. Go back to the list often and reflect. YOU CAN DO DIFFICULT THINGS. Your world is not ending if you do not make the perfect grade or perfect score; you will end up exactly where you are supposed to be. Breathe in, breathe out, and chase your dreams, my friend! You are stronger than you think.
What do you plan to do after graduation?
I am not sure yet, but I have a passion for using my voice for the voiceless. I am thinking maybe a District Attorney’s Office as a prosecutor or something with the youth!
