What do you think is the best thing about Cumberland?
The professors! The professors at Cumberland are committed to their students and equip them with the tools they need to become successful lawyers.
Why did you choose Cumberland?
I chose Cumberland because of the familial feel I experienced when I visited. The campus is beautiful, and everyone is so willing to help and welcome you when you come on to campus. It just felt right!
What do you most enjoy about studying law in Birmingham? What do you like to do in Birmingham?
Birmingham is the main “legal hub” of Alabama, so attending law school right here in Birmingham allows me to meet a lot of lawyers and make a great deal of connections.
Student Organizations and Extracurricular Activities
American Journal of Trial Advocacy, Black Law Students Association, Career Development Advisory Board
If you could give any advice to your pre-law school self, what would you say?
I would certainly tell my pre-law school self to work hard and be disciplined because law school is very difficult. However, I would also tell myself to trust myself more and not worry as much because everything will truly work out.
What do you plan to do after graduation?
I will be joining Burr & Forman LLP in their Birmingham office.
