What do you think is the best thing about Cumberland?
By far, the best thing about Cumberland is the faculty. Whether it is your professor, the administration, or the library team, everyone is beyond friendly and helpful. Having such a great environment at school helps you focus on your studies and encourages you to do your best to represent the school in the best possible way.
Why did you choose Cumberland?
I chose Cumberland because of the nationally ranked trial team and the friendly environment of the school. I initially was interested in Cumberland because of the prestigious trial team, but stayed because of the faculty.
What do you most enjoy about studying law in Birmingham? What do you like to do in Birmingham?
The thing I enjoy most about studying law in Birmingham is having the benefit of the Birmingham market and Atlanta market. Both cities have a large market for young lawyers and our close proximity to both cities provides a great advantage to Cumberland students. Also, I enjoy going to Barons games, Topgolf, and local breweries in Birmingham.

If you could give any advice to your pre-law school self, what would you say?
If I could give any advice to my pre-law self, I would tell myself to step outside of my comfort zone at every opportunity. Speaking in class, joining clubs, and participating in competitions are great ways to develop essential skills and overcome fears.
What do you plan to do after graduation?
After graduation, I plan to go back to Atlanta and pursue a career in Mergers & Acquisitions. Whether it is for a large corporation or a small start-up, my goal is to handle all the legal issues regarding the growth of companies. Also, I’d love to start my own charitable organization to help the underprivileged children in the Atlanta area.
