Rhandie Weaver is an award-winning glass artist who received a Bachelor’s Degree from UCSB in 1993 for Theatrical Lighting. Her natural eye for light and color was developed and trained during this time and gave her a unique perspective of how light and color react in glass.  After taking a stained-glass class in the late 90's, she fell in love with glass. Over the years she has learned a great deal and is self-taught in sandblast etching and carving, fusing, and mosaics. She enjoys combining these techniques to create beautiful works of art.

“Indigenous Vulcan”, her largest project to date, resides in The Birmingham Zoo and is part of  “Vulcan’s on Parade”.  She has worked with The Waldorf School to create a mosaic turntable and has participated in the “Monster Make Over” in Tuscaloosa for the last 2 years creating works of art from drawings by children.  She has been teaching Stained Glass, Glass Fusing, and Mosaics for the last 7 years in different venues around the Birmingham community.

Rhandie is looking forward to teaching Stained Glass at the Samford University Academy of the Arts beginning Fall 2026.
