Kathryn Lamb graduated from Samford University in 2017 with a B.S. in Music and concentration in violin. She studied at the university level with Mr. Jeffrey Flaniken, as well as Jaime Laredo and members of the Emerson, Brentano, and Takás string quartets in masterclasses. While at Samford, she performed regularly with the Samford orchestra and pit orchestra, as well as with the marching and pep bands. Additionally, she continues to play with the Red Mountain Theater, Birmingham Music Club, and other professional ensembles in the greater Birmingham area. With these companies, she has performed in The Marriage of Figaro, Hansel and Gretel, On the Town, My Fair Lady, Beauty and the Beast, and the Operetta Spectacular. At Samford, Kathryn was a member of Delta Omicron, serving as Chaplain and Treasurer, and was inducted into Pi Kappa Lambda, a national music honors society. Kathryn taught private violin lessons through college, and is a violin instructor at the Academy of the Arts.
