Wills and Trusts 101

Join attorney, two-time Samford graduate, and current Director of Gift and Estate Planning, Gene Howard, as he simply explains basic information about wills and trusts. Gene will share beginning steps and plans that should be put in place to ensure that assets and loved ones are appropriately cared for. This 30-minute, virtual lesson will take an intimidating topic and make it clear, light-hearted and attainable. For added fun, Wills and Trusts 101 will be facilitated by Coach Bucky McMillan, Samford Men’s Basketball Head Coach.
Medicine Cabinet Must-Haves

Hear from Sam Blakemore, a Pharmacy Manager at Peds Rx at Children’s of Alabama, and his wife Shaundra, a pediatric emergency medicine physician, as they share their list of Medicine Cabinet Must-Haves. This lesson will provide an easy-to-assemble list along with a basic understanding of the uses for the most useful over-the-counter medications that should be on hand. A McWhorter School of Pharmacy alumnus, Sam currently serves on the Samford Black Alumni Association Board and the McWhorter School of Pharmacy Advisory Board. This 30-minute, virtual lesson will be facilitated by Carley Kuhns, Head Women’s Basketball Coach and mother of three.
Charcuterie Board Basics

While Julie Cundiff may be out of the kitchen professionally, her love for food hasn’t changed. After earning her degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Samford, Julie went to Culinary School and enjoyed a career in the test kitchen at Cooking Light magazine. However, Julie’s most expert food wisdom comes from cooking for her family and friends. Julie will be teaching the basics of shopping for and assembling a beautiful and delicious charcuterie board. This lesson will be facilitated by Chris Hatcher, Samford’s Football Coach, who really enjoys eating from charcuterie boards.

Join Dr. Gary Fenton, who served as senior pastor of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church for 25 years, as he provides encouragement, practical wisdom and guided steps toward the goal of living a prayer-filled life. This 30-minute, virtual lesson will be facilitated by Casey Dunn, Head Baseball Coach at Samford.
