Join Tactical Faith on July 19 for the 2025 Worldview Academy—a day of presentations and discussions meant to encourage Christian thoughtfulness about various issues related to our worldview. From questions about science to reflections on literature, we will be exploring our place in this world, the God who made it and what it means to see and live in the world as a follower of Christ.

This year, the theme is "The Old Myth and the New," inspired by a quote from Thomas Howard's book Chance or the Dance?:

“The myth sovereign in the old age was that everything means everything. The myth sovereign in the new is that nothing means anything.”

What is the effect of having a worldview that, despite being perhaps very intellectual, has evacuated our lives of meaning? How do we respond to a world that has lost touch with meaning? And what is the role of "myth" in forming the way that we see with our eyes, minds and hearts?

The 2025 Worldview Academy is the product of a partnership between Tactical Faith and Samford University seeking to provide resources for local Christians in engaging the world. A number of Samford professors, as well as a couple of Christian speakers from the Birmingham area, will present. Come ready to listen, ask and discuss.

The event will take place in Brooks Hall Auditorium. There is no cost and refreshments will be provided. Attendees will cover their own lunch at the Campus Center or nearby Homewood.

Please RSVP by June 30 to reserve your spot.
