Pamela Nelson brings 35 years of experience to her role as director of student services and ADA compliance at Cumberland School of Law.  Since 1979, Nelson has worked with students in many capacities, the first 19 years as a high school teacher and cheer coach.

Since joining the law school’s staff in 1998, she has worked with students to enrich their law school experience.  She provides support during good times as well as difficult times.  Nelson works with students with disabilities to provide classroom and testing accommodation.  In addition, she works with the law school’s international program to help ease the adjustment for students traveling to the U.S. from foreign countries.

Outside the office, Nelson may be found working in the music ministry of her church and assisting her husband, Rick, a local pastor.  Whether she is visiting parishioners who are ill, organizing church events or hosting guests in her home, Nelson enjoys a very full ministry-related life.  She has two married daughters, both graduates of Samford University.
