What do you think is the best thing about Cumberland School of Law?
The people and the environment. Everyone is so welcoming and willing to help whenever needed. We truly have a special community of people that you cannot find anywhere else.
Why did you choose Cumberland School of Law?
I chose Cumberland because I knew that I would be encouraged and pushed to excel here. I felt that I would have the opportunity to pursue the various things that I was interested in and would be supported by the school and the people in it.
What do you most enjoy about studying law in Birmingham? What do you like to do in Birmingham?
I like how close knit the legal community is in Birmingham and how much Cumberland alumni help current law students in the Birmingham job market. I like to try new restaurants and go to fun sporting events in Birmingham.
Student Organizations/Extracurricular Activities
Student Bar Association (SBA), secretary; Career Development Advisory Board (CDAB); Christian Legal Society, treasurer; Women in Law; Transactional Law Advocacy Organization; Grace House Ministries, mentor
If you could give any advice to your pre-law school self, what would you say?
Figure out the things that you like and think about how you can use those interests in your legal career. The practice of law does not look the same to everyone and a law degree can be used in so many ways.
What do you plan to do after graduation?
After graduation I hope to work for a law firm and eventually maybe end up in a public service position where I can use my law degree.
