What do you think is the best thing about Cumberland School of Law?

The students and staff at Cumberland are always positive and willing to help one another. Each faculty member cares about your success and is willing to go the extra mile for you.

Why did you choose Cumberland School of Law?

I chose Cumberland for the people and quality of education. Additionally, Cumberland is situated a few minutes from the center of Birmingham and has wonderful networking opportunities.

What do you most enjoy about studying law in Birmingham? What do you like to do in Birmingham?

I love studying law in Birmingham because there are Cumberland attorneys everywhere in the city looking to help you achieve your goals. Birmingham is like a big city, but it also allows you to feel like you are living in a smaller town. You can go to brunch in the morning and an hour later be hiking up a mountain. One of my favorite things to do is to walk along the trail across from campus with friends and enjoy the changing colors of the trees in the fall.

Student Organizations/Extracurricular Activities

I am involved in the Environmental Law Society, the American Journal of Trial Advocacy and Women in Law.

If you could give any advice to your pre-law school self, what would you say?

Enjoy your time before law school. Law school is a lot of work, but you are fully capable of succeeding! It will be much different than your undergraduate experience because you get to focus on what you are truly interested in.

What do you plan to do after graduation?

I would like to either work in private practice or for a governmental agency practicing environmental law.
