A native of Chicago, Illinois, Anne Marovich graduated from University of Illinois, then Chicago-Kent College of Law. She practiced personal injury and administrative law in Chicago for six years before moving from Illinois. After moving to Alabama in 2002, she practiced law long distance for a Chicago firm for two years prior to joining Samford University. She initially joined Cumberland School of Law in 2007 as the associate director of the Office of Career Development. In 2010, she became the director of the Office of Alumni Relations, and in 2022, she was named as the law school's senior advancement officer.
Marovich provides significant content to the Cumberland Connections alumni e-newsletter, the bi-annual Cumberland Lawyer magazine, and for the Cumberland School of Law social media platforms. In addition to keeping alumni informed, publicizing their achievements, and organizing opportunities for engagement, Marovich provides professional career counseling to students and connects them with alumni for networking and mentoring. Strengthening relationships between alumni and the law school makes a positive and meaningful impact for both.
