What do you think is the best thing about Cumberland School of Law?

The Community. Faculty, staff, and students truly are so helpful and want to see you succeed in everything you do. Everyone wants to be your cheerleader.

Why did you choose Cumberland School of Law?

I chose Cumberland because of the opportunities it provides in the Birmingham legal community. Also, because I wanted to be located close to my family.

What do you most enjoy about studying law in Birmingham? What do you like to do in Birmingham?

I love hiking and running in Birmingham. There are so many amazing parks with hiking and running trails throughout Birmingham. I really enjoy finding new places to hike and run and getting to admire all the beautiful sights Birmingham offers.

Student Organizations/Extracurricular Activities

Black Law Students Association (BLSA), Phi Alpha Delta (PAD), and Cumberland Public Interest and Community Service (CPICS)

If you could give any advice to your pre-law school self, what would you say?

Advice I would give to my pre-law school self would be to, first, take a deep breath because everything will work out. Secondly, stop listening to everyone’s opinions about where you should go to school or what you should do with your life. Sit down and be honest with yourself. Where do you want to go to school? What kind of community do you want to be a member of? Do what will make you happy and most proud of yourself.

What do you plan to do after graduation?

I am still undecided, but, whatever I do or wherever I end up, I want to make a difference by advocating for those who are underrepresented in our community.
