"The Alabama Solution," an award-winning HBO documentary focused on the crisis in Alabama’s prisons, will be screened at Samford’s Cumberland School of Law on January 13, 2026. The film has been described by the LA Times as “one of the most shocking, visceral depictions of our carceral state ever put to film.” Indiewire called it “a jaw-dropping prison exposé,” while Variety noted its story “exerts a grip worthy of a thriller.”  

This free event is hosted by Cumberland School of Law's Civil Rights Center and the Christian Legal Society. Special guests and creators of the film will be present.
