Kerrig is a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan and is currently pursuing a degree in Instrumental Music Education at Samford University, his primary instrument being the French horn. At Interlochen Arts Academy, Kerrig sat principal horn for the orchestra and participated in many chamber ensembles. Kerrig studied with Corbin Wagner, a retired Detroit Symphony Orchestra horn player, and took many masterclasses and lessons with many famous horn players including Richard Dean and David Cooper. Currently at Samford, Kerrig is involved in multiple ensembles of various settings to help increase his musical knowledge in all genres. Kerrig performs with the Dawson Memorial Baptist Church Orchestra and is a freelance musician in the greater Birmingham area. Kerrig teaches French horn and beginning trumpet students at the Samford University Academy of the Arts.
