BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford track and field teams hosted the Samford Invite and Open, at the Birmingham Crossplex with a flurry of record-setting and podium performances. Highlighted by new meet records from Bradley Franklin in the men's 60-meter hurdles and Zephaniah Carico-McLennan in the men's 800 meters, the Bulldogs came away with multiple event titles, personal bests, and top NCAA Division I rankings.

In front of a strong crowd, the Bulldogs came to life in the second half, taking a late lead but falling in the final seconds against the Bucs 76-75.
