Andrea Bowens joined the Samford faculty from physical therapy clinical practice. Bowens clinical experience includes working in both an outpatient orthopedic clinic and a sports medicine clinic at a Birmingham-area high school. Her clinical interests have focused on post-operative rehabilitation, sports-related injuries, and return-to-sport and injury prevention programs. Research interests have included outcomes related to teaching and learning strategies in physical therapist education and issues impacting the physical therapy workforce. Bowens grew up in Gainesville, Florida, in a family of educators, so it was only a matter of time before she followed her passion for teaching and research.
