Our undergraduate programs prepare students for careers in health care, research and service in five health-related fields: communication sciences and disorders, exercise science (pre-physical therapy), health sciences, sport administration and sports medicine (pre-medicine). Each program combines rigorous coursework with hands-on experiences to prepare students for graduate study or entry into the workforce.
Fast-track options are available in exercise science/physical therapy and CSDS/speech-language pathology, allowing qualified students to earn both a bachelor’s degree and a graduate degree in less time.
Students prepare for advanced professional roles through several graduate programs. With degrees that include the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) and Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology (MS-SLP) and Master of Science in Performance and Applied Sport Science (MSPASS), our programs equip graduates to deliver compassionate, team-based care in hospitals, clinics and beyond.
The Office of Faith and Health helps students explore how their Christian faith connects with their future profession. Through seminars, service opportunities and mentoring, students are encouraged to view their work as a calling to serve others.
Interprofessional education is a core part of the student experience. Students from health professions, nursing, pharmacy and public health learn alongside one another to build teamwork and communication skills essential for modern health care. Through collaborative simulations, shared courses and case studies, students gain a deeper understanding of their roles and how to provide better patient care as part of a team.
