The School of Health Professions offers degree programs in an array of specializes that make up a large portion of the health care workforce. As a school, it is essential that we do more than educate professionals. We are committed to using our knowledge and experience to work toward making the lives of people better, here at home and in communities around the world.
Doctor of Audiology
A graduate degree in audiology will prepare you to help prevent, identify, diagnose and treat individuals with hearing loss and balance issues. Whether you are called to work with children, the geriatric population or any specialty in between, our program will equip you with the skills to provide the best care possible.
Doctor of Physical Therapy
For those interested in the deepest grounding in the science of physical therapy, the Doctor of Physical Therapy is the most intensive study of our profession available. This three-year program has a heavy emphasis on science and service. Students learn to work with other health care professionals, making evidence-based decisions that best serve their patients.
Doctor of Occupational Therapy
The Occupational Therapy Doctorate degree is designed to prepare candidates to holistically consider the physical, cognitive, psychosocial and spiritual aspects of people across the lifespan and help them fully engage in meaningful daily life activities. This program is designed for those who wish to enter the field at the highest level of preparation. We will begin enrolling students for May 2020, pending achieving accreditation status from the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education.
Master of Athletic Training
A career in athletic training provides you with numerous opportunities to use your skills and knowledge to improve the well-being of others. If you have an undergraduate degree in an area other than athletic training, but wish to gain requirements to become a certified athletic trainer, the Master of Athletic Training program is for you.
Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies
Samford’s Master of Science in physician assistant studies is designed for students who seek to answer the calling in their lives to serve others through health care and medical practice. Samford will begin enrolling students for August 2019, pending achieving accreditation-provisional status from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant.
Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology

We do this through faith-based academic course work and clinical placements designed to help you reach your career goals.
