The School of Health Professions offers degree programs in an array of specializes that make up a large portion of the health care workforce. As a school, it is essential that we do more than educate professionals. Doctor of Audiology
A graduate degree in audiology will prepare you to help prevent, identify, diagnose and treat individuals with hearing loss and balance issues. Whether you are called to work with children, the geriatric population or any specialty in between, our program will equip you with the skills to provide the best care possible.
Doctor of Physical Therapy
For those interested in the deepest grounding in the science of physical therapy, the Doctor of Physical Therapy is the most intensive study of our profession available. This three-year program has a heavy emphasis on science and service. Students learn to work with other health care professionals, making evidence-based decisions that best serve their patients.
Master of Athletic Training
A career in athletic training provides you with numerous opportunities to use your skills and knowledge to improve the well-being of others. If you have an undergraduate degree in an area other than athletic training, but wish to gain requirements to become a certified athletic trainer, the Master of Athletic Training program is for you.
Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies
Samford’s Master of Science in physician assistant studies is designed for students who seek to answer the calling in their lives to serve others through health care and medical practice. The program was awarded accreditation-provisional status from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) in April 2019.
