The School of Health Professions offers degree programs in an array of specialties that make up a large portion of the health care workforce. As a school, it is essential that we do more than educate professionals. We are committed to using our knowledge and experience to work toward making the lives of people better, here at home and in communities around the world.
Doctor of Physical Therapy
For those interested in the deepest grounding in the science of physical therapy, the Doctor of Physical Therapy is the most intensive study of our profession available. This three-year program has a heavy emphasis on science and service. Students learn to work with other health care professionals, making evidence-based decisions that best serve their patients.
Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies
Samford’s Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies is designed for students who seek to answer the calling in their lives to serve others through health care and medical practice. The program was awarded accreditation-provisional status from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) in April 2019.
Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology
We offer this degree for one reason: to help you become a highly qualified speech language pathologist with the skills, compassion and motivation to make a difference where you live. We do this through faith-based academic course work and clinical placements designed to help you reach your career goals.
