Meredith Howington, MSPAS, PA-C, earned her Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from Illinois State University in 2019, graduating summa cum laude, and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Samford University in 2021. Her clinical background includes general and vascular surgery, urgent care and primary care.

She has served as a clinical preceptor for Samford’s physician assistant students and is passionate about teaching and mentoring future physician assistants. Howington is passionate about helping students grow intellectually, professionally and spiritually as they develop the knowledge, skills and compassion needed to care for others.
As a Samford alumna, she is excited to return to the program that played an important role in her own journey and to contribute to the education and formation of the next generation of physician assistants.

Howington and her husband, Matthew, are the parents of their son, Brewer, and are excited to welcome their second child in early 2027. They enjoy spending time together as a family, traveling and making memories with their growing family.
