Lydia A. Thurston serves as assistant professor and director of clinical education for the Department of Physical Therapy. Thurston possesseses extensive clinical practice and research experience built on her passion for promoting healthy behaviors, clinical research, and applied learning. Her foundation in outpatient orthopedic sports physical therapy and inpatient acute care pediatric practices affords a broad understanding of interprofessional practice and education. Thurston lives in Birmingham with her husband, Michael, and their three children.
