Athletic Training Summer Clinic

June 15-17, 2017

High school students interested in a career in athletic training, physical therapy or sports medicine are invited to join us for the annual Athletic Training Summer Clinic at Samford University. This three day camp experience is open to high school students who have completed grades 9-12 and participants may choose from a residential or commuter option. 


Residential Clinic Option ($200) includes:

  • On campus housing
  • Fun evening activities
  • Meals
  • CPR/AED certification
  • T-shirt and materials

Please note, availability is limited for residential campers. 

Commuter Option ($170) includes:

  • Lunch on Friday
  • CPR/AED certification
  • T-shirt and materials

Tracks for New or Returning Students:

  • Track I: New students will concentrate on the ankle.  They will also learn basic taping techniques and will explore heat illness and hydration, stretching techniques and wound care.
  • Track II: Returning students will concentrate on the knee.  They will also learn advanced taping techniques, emergency scenario response, concussion management and exercise form. 
  • Track III: Experienced students who have attended previous Samford Athletic Training camps will focus on the upper extremity. They will also learn splinting, bracing, stretching and rehabilitation techniques.


Participants must register online by May 1. In addition to completing the online registration, all participants must complete a release form prior to attending the clinic.
