This Worship Exchange is an opportunity for worship leaders, ministry practitioners, students, and church musicians to learn, connect, and be encouraged in their ministry.
Our final workshop for our Grassroots Songwriting cohort will take place on September 19th at Harry's Coffee Shop, led by Matt Boswell. Matt serves as Pastor of Worship and Arts at The Trails Church in Celina, Texas, and is a hymn writer, songwriter, and worship leader whose songs are sung in churches around the world. During this cohort gathering, Matt will guide participants through conversations and practical exercises designed to strengthen songwriting for the local church. Together, we'll explore how songs can faithfully serve congregational worship, shape Christian formation, and support the ministry of the church. This session is designed to encourage collaboration, creativity, and theological depth among local church songwriters. (Closed event; cohort members only.)
Join us for the showcase performance of our year of Grassroots Songwriting on Tuesday, November 3rd, in Brock Recital Hall. We will be presenting a selection of original congregational songs crafted by cohort participants throughout the year. This special evening will celebrate the stories, prayers, and creative work that emerged from our workshops and shared learning. This event is free and open to the public. We invite churches, families, and community members to come and experience these new songs of faith and witness.
