Equipping Families for Everyday Worship

The Center for Worship and the Arts partnered with Anchor Hymns to host a songwriting retreat in Nashville, gathering gifted musicians and songwriters around a single vision: creating a worship album for the daily lives of children and families.

Drawing on the beautiful liturgies of Douglas McKelvey’s Every Moment Holy, these songs seek to give us words of prayer and praise to mark the ordinary events of family life. The first resource from this project, the worship album, will interweave scripture and prayer into melodies that are simple enough for children yet deep enough to nurture entire families in faith. They are designed to help us notice God’s presence at the breakfast table, in the carpool lane, on the way to soccer practice, and in all the moments in between.
