Patricia Linhart To Perform, Lead Master Class at Samford
Patricia Linhart, who teaches musical theatre at University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music, will perform at Samford University Friday, Oct. 6, and lead a Master Class with Samford students on Saturday, Oct. 7. The public is invited to both events.
The Friday performance will be at 7:30 p.m. in Harrison Theatre. The program will include The Girl in 14G, four pieces from the musical play The Seven Deadly Sins, and other selections.
The Master Class at 10 a.m. on Saturday will feature Samford musical theatre and vocal performance majors who will sing literature from contemporary American musicals and modern American art songs. The session will be in Harrison Theatre.
Linhart is co-founding director of Carnegie Opera Theatre and a resident actor with Human Race Theatre Company in Dayton, Ohio. A veteran performer in opera, oratorio, musical theater, dramas and industrial films, Linhart has sung with Cincinnati Symphony, Dayton Symphony, the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Pops.
