Berry Decries Loss of Community: Swant Op-Ed

“Something seriously has happened to a community when people quit telling local stories and start talking about what they see on television,” celebrated writer Wendell Berry told Birmingham News columnist Martin Swant. Berry spoke at Samford University Feb. 27 as this year’s lecturer of the Thomas and Marla Corts Distinguished Authors Series. Use the following link to read Swant’s March 4 Op-Ed piece in The News.
