anima the Center for Worship and the Arts exists at Samford University, an institution whose original charter declared the training of ministers and musicians for the church to be its primary goal. While Samford has expanded, the University retains its commitment to prepare ministers for the twenty-first century, and this complements the mission of anima well. Through anima, Samford maintains an active relationship with a number of ministerial groups and arts-based organizations that provide opportunities for Samford students to explore vocational options, experiment with leadership skills, and experience the rich cultural context Birmingham provides. Each of these activities is suspended in a rich web of campus-based worship, discipleship, and service. Here are some of anima’s key partners on the Samford campus.
