Dana Waldrop oversees academic internships, employment placement and professional development for students in the Brock School of Business.

Waldrop received a bachelor’s degree in music education from Samford University and a master’s degree in school counseling from the University of Montevallo. She is a National Board Certified Teacher and has held leadership positions with the Alabama School Counseling Association, Alabama Possible and the Southern Association for College Admissions Counselors. Prior to joining Samford University in the fall of 2019, she served as a choral teacher and school counselor in Middletown City Schools, Middletown, OH and the Jefferson County Board of Education in the greater Birmingham area.
 
She and her husband, Jim, have two adult children. They live in the McCalla area.
