Jennifer is a native-born Texan who moved to Birmingham after graduating with her B.S.N.  She has been employed at Children’s of Alabama in the emergency department for the past 12 years where she has enjoyed caring for children and their families during their most traumatic times.  Her professional interests include simulation in nursing education, health promotion and socializing student nurses into the registered nurse professional role.  Her favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and He will make your paths straight.”
