Lenzie New began her career as a registered nurse in 2015 after graduating from Jefferson State with an associate degree. She worked as a staff nurse in inpatient oncology and the SICU at Princeton Baptist before transitioning to University of Alabama at Birmingham’s outpatient infusion center, where New discovered a passion for caring for oncology patients and earned oncology certification in 2021.

New continued her education at UAB, earning a bachelor of science in nursing in 2020 and a doctor of nursing practice with a family nurse practitioner specialty in 2023.
