Biography

This marks Amy Patterson’s second opportunity to serve at Samford University. She previously worked in the Department of Human Resources from 2006 to 2014. After stepping away to focus on caring for her family, she is grateful to return to a community that has long felt like home. She looks forward to supporting the students and faculty of the Moffett & Sanders School of Nursing and contributing to its continued excellence.

Patterson strives to live each day guided by the principles of Matthew 5:16, with the goal of being a blessing and positive influence to those around her.

She and her husband, Ryan, have three sons — Brett, Jack and Hank — as well as two cats. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family and cheering on her sons in their various sports activities.
