Ferrante Emma
Samford sophomore Emma Ferrante is a resident in the Samford Startup student-led business incubator. Through the program, Ferrante has launched her business, Art by Emma LLC, a friendly art brand with simple designs and powerful messages.

She said, "I strive to create and capture the fleeting beauty of this world by painting custom portraits, drawing digital art, designing logos, and providing unique gifts that are unforgettable. It is my hope to reach vast groups of people through my online presence as well as my pop-up shops local to Atlanta and Birmingham."

Ferrante is a graphic design major, but will soon switch to be a studio art major with a marketing minor.

How has Brock School of Business and the Samford Startup program helped you launch your business?

The Samford Startup program has provided me with an environment of hard workers and go-getters. The  people surrounding me have made me set higher goals and believe in myself more because of their encouragement. They are the people who turn the “What-ifs?” into the “Let’s begins.”

Looking to the future, what do you envision for your business?

I plan on expanding my business into selling in multiple storefronts as well as on different digital platforms that are more user friendly. I hope to explore different options as far as putting my art on different products.

How can the Samford and Birmingham communities learn more about your business?

They can visit my Instagram and Facebook pages @artbyemmaferrante, as well as shop my Etsy store: ArtbyEmmaFerrante.
