American Marketing Association is a professional association leading the practice, teaching and development of marketing knowledge worldwide. It is the largest professional organization in North America with more than 30,000 members. Membership will enhance your marketing skills by attending conferences and events. In addition, you gain access to the AMA magazine, blogs, job search and resume tools. As a student member you receive a "bridged" fee post-graduation that is extremely discounted from the typical professional rate. Brock School of Business’ organization for undergraduate students presents several networking opportunities including mock interviews.

Beta Alpha Psi

Beta Alpha Psi is an honorary organization for financial information students and professionals. The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. This includes promoting the study and practice of accounting, finance and information systems; providing opportunities for self-development, service and association among members and practicing professionals, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility. Only AACSB-accredited Schools of Business are eligible for chapters of Beta Alpha Psi. Samford’s Kappa Pi chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, for undergraduate students, sponsors an extensive schedule of activities throughout the academic year including monthly professional programs covering such topics as careers in accounting and finance, interviewing and resume preparation, and graduate school options; the annual Accounting Career Night which provides an opportunity for interaction with professionals from the local business community; volunteering with Habitat for Humanity; and social events with accounting firms.

Beta Gamma Sigma*

Beta Gamma Sigma is the honor society for students enrolled in business and management programs accredited by AACSB International- the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Election to lifetime membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest honor a business student anywhere in the world can receive in an undergraduate or master's program at a school accredited by AACSB International. Students, based on high academic achievement, and tenured business school faculty members are the only ones eligible for membership in the society. With more than 580,000 members worldwide, the Society's membership comprises the brightest and best of the world's business leaders.

Beta Gamma Sigma membership provides recognition for a lifetime. With 18 alumni chapters in major metropolitan areas across the United States and Hong Kong, the BGS Career Central job board and the online membership community, those recognized for their academic achievements at Brock School of Business can continue an active relationship with Beta Gamma Sigma long after graduation. This lifelong commitment to its members' academic and professional success is defined in the Society's mission: to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to foster personal and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society and to serve its lifelong members.

Finance and Economics Women (F.E.W.)

The acronym F.E.W. says it all. Women are often minorities in finance and economics workplaces. This group exists to connect and equip undergraduate women who are interested in finance and economics. Men are welcome to events and members of the business community are often involved to support current students.

Financial Management Association (FMA)

Financial Management Association is a professional organization for finance-related professions. Brock School of Business' FMA chapter was organized in 2008 and holds regular meetings exploring different career paths available to finance majors. The FMA National Honor Society separately recognizes top finance majors with an induction ceremony each spring.

Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS)

Gamma Iota Sigma is the only international business fraternity for students of insurance, risk management and actuarial science. GIS promotes and encourages student interest in the industry while encouraging the high moral and scholastic attainments of its members.

Mu Kappa Tau (MKT)

Mu Kappa Tau encourages and recognizes high academic excellence and accomplishment among undergraduate marketing students. It is the only national marketing honor society to be recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies. The honor society brings marketing professional and students together on the basis of mutual interest, understanding, and helpfulness to stimulate interaction and the exchange of ideas between members.

Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE)

One of the world's largest academic honor societies, Omicron Delta Epsilon recognizes scholastic attainment and outstanding achievements in economics as well as the establishment of closer ties between students and faculty within the economics department.
