In the year 2015, the Teacher Education Department of Samford’s Orlean Bullard Beeson School of Education will be 100 years old! We are planning a year of exciting events from January through December of 2015. If you are a teacher education graduate and would like to be a part of this, we need your ideas and would love for you to brainstorm with us.

  • Volunteer to be a Class Agent. Help us invite your classmates to the special events throughout the year. We can provide you with a working list and you could help us update their names, addresses and especially cell phone and email addresses.(Several of you could do this together for your class!!)
  • Serve on the Centennial Planning Committee (The CPC). We meet twice a year and share ideas and ask for your help in making decisions about this historic celebration. After all, it is for you and we want you to love the events. It has already been delightful to come together and have graduates of all ages meet and socialize together.
  • Celebration Dinner Committee. The culminating event of the year will be a special celebration dinner with awards given to outstanding alumni. It will take place during the Homecoming weekend of 2015. Do you like to plan centerpieces and help organize events? This would be a great fit for you!
