Robin returned to Samford after living in Asia for four years. Her work in Asia was primarily with refugee student education, specifically in their opportunity to access to tertiary education. Prior to living in Asia she worked in Orlean Beeson School of Education at Samford as Assistant Professor of Education and Director of the Secondary Fifth-year Nontraditional  Program. Her professional interests are secondary education, math education, leadership and refugee education. Her work with refugees continues with the CERTE program in Malaysia in conjunction with UNHCR, Opening Universities for Refugees and Teach for Refugees. Robin enjoys hiking, traveling and intercultural experiences, especially with her family. Her husband Rob will also be teaching this semester at Samford. Their two children, Emma (16) and Noah (13) will be students in Vestavia schools after studying in the British system for the last 3 years.
