Bonnie Lee Rabe has focused her career on educational quality and improvement.

Earning her Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of Connecticut Rabe has served in several leadership positions in higher education in Connecticut. Prior to making the shift full-time into higher education, Rabe served as an administrator in urban, suburban and rural public school districts and was an award-winning science teacher.

Demonstrating extensive experience in higher education accreditation as well as course and program development, Rabe has also collaborated in the development and design of unique curricula and programs, including the development of three Connecticut interdistrict magnet schools designed to reduce racial, social and economic isolation.

Rabe is trained and served as a national reviewer for accreditation, but has shifted from evaluating the end product in accreditation to supporting Education Program Providers (EPPs). She is now assisting EPPs in the building a culture of evidence with Quality Assurance Systems and Protocols, utilizing multiple measures of quality. She also provides targeted on-demand training. Using her knowledge of and experience with public schools, she is committed to the development of strong university-public school partnerships.

Her research interests and publications focus on assessment and accreditation, confidence in practice, career-changers, inquiry, ePortfolio, Science pedagogy and leadership development.
