Congregational Health Ministries
The Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing's congregational health program is committed to forming partnerships with faith communities of various denominations who are seeking to develop health ministries that promote health and healing from a whole person perspective-body, mind and spirit.
Samford’s University’s motto, “The World is Better for It,” plays out clearly in the global engagement of the College of Health Sciences. The four schools within the college, with coordination of the Center for Faith and Health, provide rich academic experiences for students in locations on 5 continents (North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia).
Healthcare Ethics and Law Institute
The Healthcare Ethics and Law [HEAL] Institute was created as an interdisciplinary effort within Samford University in 1999. Its mission is to better support the unique and complex relationships between patients and health-care providers, the individuals who make patient-care decisions, and the institutional ethics committees who offer them advice and counsel.
