Environmental Studies

Our environmental studies minor offers an interdisciplinary exploration of the relationship between humans and the environment in the interest of solving complex problems. Students study the built and natural environment and explain human views and interactions with nature. They also examine ways that politics, economics, the sciences, history, ethics and philosophy influence human behavior in the natural world, so the minor is an ideal complement to those majors. Students pursuing this program must complete a field-based January term or summer course.
