Samford University’s Religion Department and Center for Congregational Resources (CCR) will host the Rev. Dr. Brent Strawn for the 2018 Ray Frank Robbins Lecture March 22 at 10 a.m. in Brock Forum, Dwight Beeson Hall. After the lecture, at 11:30 a.m., the department and CCR and will host a Lunch and Learn event featuring Strawn in Sullivan-Cooney Family Field House room 305.

Howard College of Arts and Sciences will hold a free, public symposium on the subject of “Where do we go from here? Martin Luther King Jr., Race, and America’s Future” April 16-17. The event–the inaugural Samford Stockham Symposium on Western Ideas and Institutions–will present a plenary address by 16th Street Baptist Church pastor Arthur Price and panel discussions.
