Almost a decade ago the SEC signed an agreement with CBS allowing the network to air one SEC football game per week. The relationship has produced record breaking ratings year after year and 2015 is no exception.

CBS announced yesterday that the weekly SEC game ranked as the "highest-rated slate on television for the seventh consecutive year. National coverage of the conference drew a national household rating/share of 3.4/8, according to Nielsen.

Highlights included the season’s highest-rated and most-watched college football game-to-date with last Saturday’s SEC Championship as Alabama’s win scored a 7.8/17 and averaged 12.76 million viewers." (Cynopsis Media)
