For the first time ever college football fans can watch a game live in virtual reality without special equipment. According to Cynopsis Sports, "FOX Sports is working with LiveLike to offer this weekend’s Ohio State/Oklahoma showdown in virtual reality."

All you need is a Smartphone! No special equipment is needed. I downloaded the "Fox Sports VR" app on my phone, logged in using my cable subscription information and then watched a prerecorded soccer match between Mexico and Venezuela just to get a feel for how it all works.

“FOX Sports’ commitment to innovation makes them the perfect company for us to work with as we roll out a VR experience that allows today’s sports fan to lean-in and watch sports in an entirely new way,” said Andre Lorenceau, founder and CEO, LiveLike. “The Oklahoma vs. Ohio State game represents the beginning of our relationship with FOX Sports, and we look forward to working with them to make the FOX Sports VR app an important destination in the sports viewing experience.”
