After graduating with her Master of Arts in Community Journalism, Ana R. Good worked as a journalist for many years at AL.com/The Birmingham News. She is the recipient of multiple journalism awards, including an APME Best Lifestyle Feature award, an APA Best Feature award and an APA Best Business Story award.
Good joined the staff at Samford University in 2016 as the Media and Professional Development Adviser where she helped oversee the production of the university’s newspaper, The Samford Crimson, and yearbook, Entre Nous. She completed her Ph.D. in Communication at The University of Alabama in the summer of 2022 and transitioned into her current role as a Postdoctoral Instructor.
Good's research interests focus on studying the media's portrayal of issues related to gender and politics and how those messages influence public perception, engagement and policy.
