The Department of Biblical and Religious Studies invites the Samford community to the 2026 Robbins Lecture, featuring Pamela Ebstyne King, Professor of Applied Developmental Science in the School of Psychology and Executive Director of the Thrive Center for Human Development at Fuller Seminary.

A developmental psychologist and ordained minister, Dr. King is a leading scholar exploring how faith, spirituality, virtue, and relationships contribute to human thriving and flourishing societies. Her research bridges psychology and theology, offering practical and compelling insights into what it means to live meaningful, whole lives. She is the host of the With & For podcast and the author of several influential books, including The Reciprocating Self and Thriving with Stone Age Minds.

Dr. King will present three lectures throughout the day, examining courage, spiritual health, and the role of love in human flourishing:
