As part of the national commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the History Department and Core Texts welcome Justin Dyer, Dean of the School of Civic Leadership at the University of Texas at Austin, for a public lecture titled "Endowed by Their Creator."

Dyer’s lecture will explore the philosophical and theological foundations of natural rights in the American founding, with particular attention to the Declaration of Independence and its enduring influence on American civic life.
