Catherine Brooks has a 30-year history in practicing interior design with a focus in the healthcare industry in Birmingham. Catherine has produced projects throughout the United States specializing in rehabilitation hospitals and senior living. For ten years she taught interior design at the college level helping students achieve their professional goals and guiding them towards practicing commercial design.

Catherine earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Troy University and an Associates of Applied Arts in Interior Design from Southern Institute School of Design. She is an NCIDQ and LEED certified interior designer with registration in Alabama, Louisiana and Florida.  She has served as a Vice President at a firm in Birmingham and worked to guide entry-level designers to be successful practitioners.  She has focused on business development and growing the healthcare business within that architecture firm.

Catherine has been a speaker for industry events focusing on the ever-changing market of senior living. She remains focused on changes within the healthcare industry by being a practitioner who participates in a wide variety of healthcare project types. Her passion for design along with her desire to develop students and prepare them for successful careers in the interior design industry drive her life’s work.

She is married to her husband Trey and has three boys; Avery, Henry and Emory.  She is an active member at Trinity United Methodist Church participating in a wide variety of committees and outreach programs.
