Samford alumnus Sean Flynt ('91, '94) is a nationally accredited public relations professional with almost a quarter-century of experience in education public relations, marketing and communication. He joined Samford's communication staff as a writer and editor in 2000, and is the author of hundreds of published articles on subjects in business, health care, the arts, natural sciences, social sciences and the humanities. His work at Samford has included marketing and communication for five academic divisions in addition to service as campus coordinator for Diversity University and member of the University Foundational Statements Review and Rewrite Team. He was the founding editor of The Belltower weekly digital newsletter, editor of Samford Business and Samford Pharmacist alumni magazines and School of the Arts and Collegium inserts in Seasons magazine. In 2015, Samford's Orlean Bullard Beeson School of Education honored him with its Learning for Life Award in recognition of his decades of service to education, which includes work with Samford, the University of Kentucky, The Missouri Partnership for Outstanding Schools, The University Council for Educational Administration, The National Policy Board for Educational Administration, and the BRG Rechte Kremszeile and HLM HLW schools in Krems, Austria.
