Samford University Religion Department Chair Ken Roxburgh has been awarded a two-week scholarship at Gladstone’s Library in Hawarden, Wales.

The scholarship, for Nov. 15-29, 2013, will help Roxburgh finish a new book on Christianity in Scotland in the 20th century. Also while on sabbatical in the fall, Roxburgh will lecture on the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement in Scotland in the 20th century at the Scottish Church History Society at New College, Edinburgh University, Nov. 27.

The library’s more than 250,000 items includes 32,000 from Gladstone’s personal collection, and specializes in theology and Victorian studies.
