Samford University’s Classics Department will host the 58th Annual Convention of the Alabama Junior Classical League April 26-27.

Event organizers expect 500-600 students from Alabama high schools to take part in two days of events focused on ancient Greece and Rome.

Special activities are a highlight of the annual convention, and this year will include team games on Samford’s Quad, a costumed banquet, academic and artistic Olympiads and Certamen quiz bowl.
